Marie PutkoYoga with Marie

Deep Stretch and Relaxation (Thursday- 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
Stretching, breathing, and relaxing allow the body to recover and the mind to find peace. When you connect to your breath and coordinate this with gentle movement and stretching, you calm the central nervous system, so that you feel grounded and centered. This class will leave your body feeling restored and relaxed, in order to help you unwind for the evening.

Movement Meditation (Thursday- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
This creative flowing yoga class focuses on breath, alignment and mindful movement to become more present and connected to your body. Each class focuses on a new theme inspired by poetry, spiritual teachers, and meditation techniques used to focus the mind and center the body. This class is open to all levels.
Open Level Express Yoga (Wednesday- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
This Vinyasa Yoga class will boost your energy and lift your spirits for the rest of your day. By coordinating breath to movement using sun-salutations, and moving through yoga postures to strengthen, stabilize, improve flexibility, and build a strong core, you release chronic tension, soreness, and lack of vitality. You will leave feeling balanced, energized, and motivated to resume the rest of your day.
Marie Putko received certificates in Yoga and Yoga Dance at Kripalu Institute of Health and Wellness, as well has her Masters in Opera and Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from NYU. She currently teaches yoga at NYU, Area Yoga in Brooklyn, privately in NYC, and assists teacher trainings at Kripalu Institute. She is the founder of Soma Voice, Freeing the Voice through Yoga and Mindful Movement to aid all artists in forming a mindful and positive relationship to their whole instrument.

NatashaAcupuncture with Natasha

Natasha Kubis is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the states of New York and North Carolina. She is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
She is a graduate from Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, NJ where she received a Master Diploma in Acupuncture, completed over 2202.5 hours of training, over 500 hours of clinical work and graduated with honors. She is a general practitioner with special interests in pain management, anxiety disorders and women’s health.
She practices a combination of Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture. Her treatments have a synergistic approach consisting of a combination of acupuncture, cupping, guasha, electro-acupuncture, massage, moxibustion and dietary approaches. Natasha has studied with renowned pioneer in Japanese acupuncture, Kiiko Matsumoto and continues her studies with highly regarded practitioners such as Giovanni Maciocia and Jeffrey Yuen.

Massage with Ben

Ben Fink, LMT graduated from the prestigious Swedish Institute for Massage Therapy in 2014. During his studies, Ben cultured a very integrated treatment approach that involved both Western (Swedish Massage) and Eastern (Shiatsu and Acupressure) massage techniques and modalities. His focus is to promote wellness and healing while meeting each clients’ individual needs and goals.
Ben uses Swedish Massage with advanced techniques in pre/post athletic events, trigger-point therapy, deep-tissue massage, and aromatherapy. As a member of the Movement Improvement team, Ben’s goal is to promote relaxation, reduce pain, and decrease physical stress. He feels it’s very important to bring awareness to structural and functional anatomy to empower his clients to feel their best.
Ben is a proud native of Brooklyn, NY and a sports fanatic! He is thrilled to join Movement Improvement and be a part of a team that promotes health and wellness through integrated treatments with a personal touch.

Training with Daniel

Daniel Lopez, NCFS Personal Trainer Daniel believes that once someone has worked with a competent trainer to learn the basic moves, they don’t need a trainer watching them all the time. It was with this in mind that he opened Daniel Lopez Training (, a remote training service. Through this service, Daniel helps clients of all ages (the site is geared towards young men, but he has clients of both genders and of all ages) reach and surpass their body composition goals in a safe, efficient manner. While he does still meet people in person, the majority of his clients work with him 100% online!
When Daniel heard about Greg’s practice, he realized that he and Greg had a common goal: to create healthy, autonomous people (be it clients or patients). Daniel was brought in at Movement Improvement to help Greg bridge the gap between recovery and fitness. Once you’re recovered enough to start being active, Daniel assists you in learning basic movement patterns with little to no weight. He teaches you what you need to know to work out safely and effectively. With that basic knowledge in place, you can confidently venture into any gym and build strength upon your new, healthy body!
